SuperFest Grand Prize Raffle Rules, Regulations, and Eligibility Terms and Conditions

Superstition Amateur Radio Club SuperFest Grand Prize Raffle entry purchaser, and anyone to whom an entry purchaser legally transfers an entry, must be either a business entity or an individual 21 years or older and a legal U.S. resident at time of entry purchase. Purchaser must be physically present in the state of Arizona at the time of the initial purchase transaction, including for online sales. By law, raffle and any other purchases must be purchased with a separate check or charged to a credit or debit card as separate transactions. Due to postal regulations, raffle ticket stubs cannot be sent or returned by mail.  Accordingly, for online sales, an authorized representative from the Superstition Amateur Radio Club shall complete the ticket by filling in the name, and or FCC Call Sign of purchaser, and will send the ticket numbers by email to the purchaser using the PayPal email address used at the time of purchase. It is the responsibility of ticket purchaser to correctly provide contact and FCC Call Sign information including name, and phone number so that they can be promptly contacted should they be deemed a winner and not be present at the time of the Grand Prize Drawing. The Superstition Amateur Radio Club assumes no responsibility for lost , late, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, illegible or non-delivered entries. Any mutilated, incomplete or illegible entries will be deemed invalid and shall be immediately disqualified. All purchases of Raffle tickets are non-refundable. All sales are final, and no changes or modifications will be accommodated once the order has been submitted. All entries will be entered in the Grand Prize Raffle drawing to be held at the Superstition Amateur Radio Club SuperFest on December 3, 2022. Winner need not be present to win. Should the winner not be present at time of drawing, they will be notified by phone and/or email no later than January 31, 2023. Winner will need to physically pick up raffle prize, either at the event if present, or at a location deemed acceptable by the President of the Superstition Amateur Radio Club. Shipping may be arranged at the expense of the winner. Government issued photo identification that matches the name on the winning raffle ticket will be required. ADDITIONAL INFO: The Raffle will pursue all available legal remedies against any individual(s) damaging or attempting to damage any Superstition Amateur Radio Club website or attempting to undermine the lawful operation of the Raffle. All items have been donated in good faith and cannot be returned or exchanged from donor. TAX & IRS RULES: All proceeds benefit the Superstition Amateur Radio Club, a non-profit organization operating under paragraph 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and the laws of the State of Arizona. Winner shall be responsible for any applicable federal, state, and local taxes. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of the entry does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution or donation for income tax purposes.
